Wedding Wednesday

Look to the right of the screen. Do you see that picture of the girl running towards the boy? Yeah... We are less than 4 months now!! I just can't believe how fast this has all gone.

Right now we are in Bridal Shower mode. I came home yesterday and this was in my mail.
Here is what honestly went through my head. "Oh cute, mom went through a TON of work to put everyone's individual name on the invites." It wasn't until I went to show it to Jeff that everyone's invitation said my name. haha I have obviously never have had a shower. Yes, I have have been showered with water, but not gifts. hehehe I can't believe it is time for bridal showers to start happening. The next wedding shower I go to will be mine! =)

I am really excited for all the wedding festivities to begin. I will probably say this 1,000 times but Jeff and I are so lucky to have lots of people who love us and are helping out with the wedding.

Thanks

With mother's day coming up, I would like to take a second to thank the two mom's in our lives. Jeff and I have been very blessed to have such great mom's. They are very caring, loving and always there for us. They have shown us how to raise a great family and to have grace while doing it! We could have asked for better families to be raised with. You were there when we were young to pick us up when we fall and to heal our boo boo's. Now you are there when we need advice, a dog sitter, or an ear to listen. Thanks for all that you do for us. Happy Mother's Day! We love you.

Wedding Wednesday

I have been REALLY excited to post this one this week. I convinced Jeff to give me one whole day last weekend to work on wedding-y things. He promised, he wouldn't do ANYTHING but wedding stuff. He lived up to his promise for sure. We got so much accomplished. It was a great breath of fresh air. He was an awesome help.

The biggest thing we did was buy Jeff's wedding band. Some of you know the headache we have gone through to try and find this. He doesn't make decisions easy and would always end up in a grumpy mood at the end because I don't wait to make my decisions. We finally decided on a ring for him. He wanted to think about it again, but I knew, if we didn't purchase it that day, it would be another couple of months before anything was bought.

The man at the store said we had 60 days to return it if he doesn't like it. I told Jeff as I was buying it...."Now we need to go home and have you wear this tonight to make sure you like it." HAHAHA funniest thing ever.

We were watching a movie. I totally forgot he had the ring on and I look over and his left hand is dangling down from the couch as if not attached to his body. I looked for a min. and realized, it was his ring. I asked him about it, and his reply... "I don't know what to do with my hand anymore." haha It's like he puts the ring on and his left hand is paralyzed. Hysterical! We might need him to wear it around the house more often so he doesn't look so silly on the wedding day. Or maybe not, because it is great entertainment!

Here is a picture of him posing with the ring. He is too cool for school.

I will tell you. I looked over again (I do this a lot because he is just so handsome) during the movie and he was petting Sherman. I got a flash of the ring and my stomach turned with excitement. This is totally real. He will be attached to me forever. It was very surreal. Who knew a little ring could make me excited for the wedding all over again.

Are you Janelle?

Something just happened and I don't know if I should be honored, or embarrassed. Every couple of months my favorite restaurant of all times comes by our office. If any of you know me the least little bit, you know that restaurant is Jimmy Johns, or the double J as I have been known to call it. (side bar, why I am just now realizing Jeff and I could have used a version of their logo for our wedding?? I am super bummed I am just thinking of that) They make tons of sandwiches and cut them into thirds and deliver them to local businesses to drum up new business. For me, it is just another day, because I eat there ALL THE TIME! When I say all the time, this means at least once a week.

They stopped by our office when I was in an appointment. The man comes through the front door to deliver the freebies. He sees our Administrative Assistant. The following is their conversation.

JJ delivery man: "Are you Janelle?"
AA: "No, she is with a student."
JJ man: "Oh, I just wanted to meet her because she orders sandwiches a lot!"

When our AA told me this, for a split second I thought I had hit rock bottom. When did I turn into one of those, "give me the usual" kind of people? I Thought I had avoided this. I have deliberately been going to the three different ones around here equally so the workers couldn't figure it out . The problem is, when I order for delivery, only one of the three will deliver. Epic Fail!

Then I thought to myself... no... JJ is your best friend... wouldn't you want them to know you?! I think it's pretty spiffy they know me. Maybe I will just mix things up next time and order the unwich ;)

Wedding Wednesday

I know I know, I totally forgot last week. Don't worry, I am ALWAYS working on the wedding! Right now we are in Invitation mode. It is amazing how many decisions go into a small piece of paper that everyone will throw away and call us at the last min for directions etc.

We met with our wedding planner, Marie, last week. We worked only on invitations. We were there for over an hour. Crazy! We have chosen a design and are just finalizing the important documents to go into the envelopes.

Last night I spent my time going through our entire guest list and putting notes at the bottom. The note says how I want the envelope addressed. Why do I need to this you ask? Well, my friend Amanda has volunteered to use her awesome handwriting skills and address all the envelopes for me! I am going to just send them down to Florida when I get them :) I am so excited because all of you got my save the dates... my handwriting leaves much to be desired!

People ask me all the time how wedding planning is going. Honestly, great! I am almost finished. And when I say that.. I am completely serious. I could tell I was losing steam on the whole planning thing so I used my last bit of energy and finished 90% of everything.

The big 2-7

Last Saturday was my birthday. My last birthday as a Koenig, my last birthday as a single woman! Weird to think about. Anyway... It was a VERY low key birthday. I do have some amazingness to share though!

Jeff got me a Kindle. I opened it on Friday because that boy can't keep anything a secret. I was bombarded with... What do you think it is? Do you want to see it? Where do you think I bought it? Etc. etc. So I usually give in because I am just tired of the questions. I was pumped to see the Kindle for sure! Look at the wrapping paper he picked out! Polka dots, like our wedding!
Tina came over and took me out to lunch. It was AWESOME hanging out with her. I really miss being roommates! She stayed awhile after and Sherman found his new soul mate.

Jeff had a meeting for work all morning. When he came home, he had a cake and balloons. By the way.. that cake rocked my socks.

Jodi and Brett met us later to go out to dinner. Of course Cooper went too! He was soo good at dinner. By the time we got home it was his bed time. He was partying hard, but then mom said he had to go to bed and miss out on the fun....

I am kidding.. hahaha He was just really tired. This picture is AWESOME!

Jodi and Brett spent the night! It was so awesome! The next morning Cooper was playing with the balloons. We were trying to get a picture of his crazy hair. This one you can kind of see.

OH.. I forgot to mention that we played the MJ wii game that night. Allison and Tony came over too and we played for a long time! I took a video of the ONE song Brett and Jeff did. (I hope the video works)

Oh Dear

So last night Jeff and I were being silly and play fighting about something after work. I can't even remember anymore... but this is the actual conversation we had.

Me: UGH You are on my last nerve!
Jeff: You are on my only nerve.
Me: You only have one nerve?
Jeff: Yeah, sadness.
